Care, Compassion and Professionalism

About 20 years ago my parents had a Royal Alliance policy and sadly their agent passed away. They were assigned a “new” gentleman that would take care of them, as Royal put it. Never were words spoken that later evolved to be beyond what a person could want.

Mr Romano Klomp (of Josslin Insurance) was introduced to them. He reviewed their needs, financial situation and current policies and suggested changes that impacted them positively on many many levels. I was grateful that someone, besides me, was definitely looking out for their best interests, tailoring exactly what they realistically needed and spoke to them and explained their policies so clearly they had a complete command of everything.

Last spring, my mother was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma. Weeks later my father was diagnosed with metastatic laryngeal cancer. They started their chemo on the same day.  My mother passed away in November.  My father passed away in March, 100 days apart.   

When they were ill at home he visited them as a friend, and I remember my mom reviewing her policy one evening with me, as we made some tough decisions about her care, and her smiling and saying how she was confident my father would be “OK”.  My father met with Romano, in my father’s home,  to review his policy and made beneficiary changes prior to his death, and I remember his smile of confidence that my brother and I would be “OK”. 

Mr Klomp, quietly, respectfully and as now a good friend, obtained both death certificates at the funeral home when he was there to visit our families. He submitted all documentation to the insurance companies for us. Both life insurance cheques were delivered to us within 2 weeks of their passing. 

I have recommended Mr Klomp to many friends, family and co-workers. The care, compassion and professionalism I have seen in the past 5 months has been exemplary. These times are beyond difficult but when you have a man like Mr Klomp in your corner, you will be well taken care of and with no worries.  He is a tremendous asset to your group.
