For owners of watercraft primarily powered by sails.

Qualifications
If the boat is equipped with a motor as an alternative power source, owners and any person operating the craft are required to have obtained a Pleasure Watercraft Operator (PWO)Card.

No, but  Liability coverage is a good idea

Boat & Trailer liability & optional physical damages

Premiums based on

  • Year, make, model, size of engine (if applicable)
  • Previous ticket and accident history
  • Driver(s) age
  • Value of vessel
  • Size of water craft
