Pollution Liability

Designed for full-time farm and hobby farm operations. Provides coverage for legal liability arising out of sudden and accidental spills which are discovered within 120 hours.

Qualifications

  • Coverage must be written in conjunction with the Farm Liability
  • Provides coverage for chemical storage containers not greater than 1500 litres.

Required by law
Not required by law, but may be required to satisfy mortgagee/ lender requirements or contractual obligations.

Things that can be covered

  • Overspray of chemicals from the spraying of the farmers own fields
  • Accidental spill caused by a farming tenant on your land
  • Accidental spills like those resulting from vehicle collisions on roadways

Premiums based on
A combination of the number and capacity of storage tanks on the premises, total acreage and the limit of coverage provided.
