Fidelity Bonding / Crime Insurance

Every organization, profit and non-profit is vulnerable to fraud, theft and embezzlement.  A well established system of procedures and controls should be reinforced with a Crime Insurance policy tailored for the organization.

3-years business or related experience preferred, acceptable claims history.

Required by law
Yes, this coverage is required by law in some cases. May be required to meet licensing requirements most commonly within Financial Institutions

Things can be covered
Employee Dishonesty; Theft, Burglary, Robbery, Holdup; Counterfeit Money and Cheque Forgery; Computer Fraud, Credit Card Fraud, and Extortion.

Premiums based on
The limits of coverage required, the number of employees, and the degree to which they have access to currency, inventory and bank accounts.  Underwriting considerations will include (but are not limited to): 
1. Financial Reporting (ie – who does audits, how frequently, how financials are prepared)
2. Type of Internal Controls (ie – are cheques countersigned, how bank accounts are reconciled & by whom)
3. Reference checks on employees
